Election Cycle Information

The success of NEAIR is due largely to the dedication of members like you. If you have found value in NEAIR events, networking opportunities, and offerings, we strongly encourage you to serve in a formal leadership role.

NEAIR seeks candidates from a variety of identities, backgrounds, and professional experiences to represent our organization in the leadership roles listed below. Each position is linked to a detailed description of the role and responsibilities.
 
Now more than ever, NEAIR needs strong, visionary leaders to guide us through the challenges facing higher education and our profession. If you believe in the power of this community—or know someone who does—please step forward. Nominate a colleague or yourself. Your voice and leadership matter.

Steering Committee members (3-year terms):

• 1 President-Elect       
• 1 Secretary 
• 1 At-Large Representative (any sector)  
• 1 Private Sector Representative  

Nominating Committee members (at least 1-year term, potentially a 2-year term):    

• 1 Two-Year Sector Representative  
• 5 At-Large Representatives  

• Nominations due: June 5, 2026
• Elections open: August 2026
• Election results announced: October 2026
