Dear NEAIR members,

As you plan out 2016, keep in mind there are numerous grant and scholarship opportunities offered through NEAIR to support your professional development regardless of what stage you are at in your career. Be on the lookout for these opportunities, visit the links below to learn more, and connect with a Grants Committee member if you have questions.

AIR Forum Scholarship (Deadline is February 26th; notification by April 1st)

The AIR Forum Scholarship was created in 2015 to support the lifelong learning and development of mid-career professionals by helping to defray the cost of attending the AIR Forum for a current NEAIR member. The $1,000 award consists of matching grants from AIR and NEAIR in the amount of $500 each. You may learn more here:

NEAIR Memorial Conference Grants (Deadline is May 2nd; notification by June 1st)

Memorial conference grants provide funds to two members to help defray the costs of attending the 43rd NEAIR Annual Conference to be held November 12-15, 2016, in Baltimore, MD. The maximum award is $800 each. This program is meant to assist members who would otherwise not be able to attend the NEAIR Annual Conference. You may learn more here:

AMBASSADOR GRANTS (Deadline is May 2nd; notification by June 1st)

Ambassador grants provide matching funds for a NEAIR member to attend a conference other than the NEAIR conference. The maximum award is $800. The primary emphasis of the Ambassador Grant is on participation at "non-mainstream" conferences, with the aim of broadening the horizons of both the attendee and the NEAIR membership at large. Non-institutional research conferences will be given preference. You may learn more here:

NEAIR Research Grant (Deadline is September 1st; notification by early October)

The NEAIR Research Grant provides funds for members to conduct research that is also of interest to the membership at large. The maximum award is $1,000 and may be used only for direct research costs. You may learn more here:
