Getting to New Brunswick

New Brunswick is easy to get to by car, plane, and train.

By Plane
Newark Liberty International Airport is about 25 miles from New Brunswick.
Take the AirTrain monorail to the train station. In the airport terminal, look for signs for the AirTrain , a monorail system that will take you to the New Jersey Transit train station at the airport. You may either buy your ticket in the terminal or at the station. The fare is approximately $13 one way and New Brunswick is on the Northeast Corridor Line. See New Jersey Transit for fares, schedules, and maps. New Brunswick is about half an hour from the airport and the New Brunswick train station is about 3 blocks from the hotel. Click here for a map of the area and helpful hints to getting around!

By Train
Amtrak’s northeast corridor trains stop at New Brunswick. The train station is only 3 blocks from the hotel. Click here for a map of the area and helpful hints to getting around!.

Please note that not all Amtrak trains stop in New Brunswick.  Another option is to use Amtrak to Newark or Trenton and then take a NJ Transit train to New Brunswick.  See New Jersey Transit for fares, schedules, and maps.

By Car
New Brunswick is a short hop off Exit 9 of the New Jersey Turnpike (US-95). For map and directions, click here. To get an updated report on the best way to avoid traffic delays visit http://route18update.rutgers.edu.

For those going to New Brunswick via the New Jersey Turnpike, we recommend you get your directions from Google (type in the Hyatt + New Brunswick and choose get directions).  Unlike Mapquest, Google is up to date with a new, easier to follow, exit from Route 18.  When you exit from the NJ Turnpike, take Rte. 18 N, 1 S to New Brunswick.  Try to get into the second from the left lane (when all the lanes collapse this will be the right hand lane on Rte 18.  Go through two traffic lights (the second light may just be a yellow blinking light) a look for a sign for New Street, Arts and Business district.  Exit at New Street.  At the first light, turn right onto Neilson St.  In two tenths of a mile, the Hyatt will be on your right.
